Job Title: Academic Mentor

  • The Academic Mentor will be responsible for guiding students in their academic journey, ensuring they complete daily homework and making progress towards their goals.

  • This role requires a Diploma or higher qualification in Math or Science, as well as a minimum of 2 years experience working with primary school students. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach both Math and Science.

  • The Academic Mentor will be part of a team responsible for implementing educational programs in line with the centre's policies and guidelines. They will work closely with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

  • In addition to teaching, the Academic Mentor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress and addressing individual needs on an ongoing basis. They will also be required to prepare and maintain teaching resources, as well as contribute to the upkeep of the classroom and its appearance.

  • Maintaining positive relationships with students and parents is essential in this role. The Academic Mentor will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and provide a champion mindset to inspire students to reach their full potential.

  • The Academic Mentor will also be involved in conducting enrichment programs that are unique to the franchise and designed to enhance student learning.

Key Qualifications:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Math or Science
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with primary school students
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach both Math and Science
