Job Title: Cloud Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Network Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the expansion, upgrades and rollouts of new network and systems infrastructure involving hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, virtual machines, dockers, containers, network monitoring and management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle regular preventive maintenance on cloud networks
  • Support engineering teams on new product/feature implementation, node deployment, and technical support matters
  • Contribute to and assist with presales activities for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and timely resolution of faults/issues within the scope of cloud networks
  • Analyse cloud network performance and take proactive actions and preventive measures to monitor and enhance the network performance including software and hardware upgrades, etc.
  • Prepare statistical reports on network and equipment performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/computer engineering or computer science/information systems from a recognized institution
  • 1-3 years' experience in cloud or DevOps environments and systems operations
  • Working knowledge of container technologies, orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes), and Linux-based operating systems
  • Possess knowledge on routers, switches, and firewalls installation and upgrade procedures, e.g. Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet
  • Some knowledge about Quantum Key Distribution and Encryption technologies
  • Understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP
  • Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in technical fault isolation and rectification
  • Able to document and investigate existing infrastructure for the benefit of maintaining and operating the environment, discovering possible security breaches or vulnerabilities or finding opportunities for improvement for optimal network performance
