Job Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting comprehensive quotations, invoices, and proposals for ship repair and conversion projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of tender documents and/or invoices for ship-repair and/or conversion projects based on man-hours, materials, and subcontractor costing both prior to / after contract award.
  • Discussions with customers/subcontractors/trades regarding scope of work and settlement of invoices.
  • Understanding and evaluating Technical Specifications. Preparation and timely submission of comprehensive quotations according to technical specification requirements.
  • Preparation and timely submission of Repair Invoices to Owners according to the work carried out.
  • Negotiations and closure of invoices with owners.
  • Follow-up on ongoing work and updating Cost and Budget records.
  • Sourcing of sub-contractors/vendors for ship-repair works and issuance of Purchase Orders, including negotiation of Subcontractors/Vendors Invoices.
  • Maintenance of proper order of Estimating and invoicing filing systems.
  • Close contact with Owners and Production teams for updates on repairs onboard.
  • Closely monitoring estimated man-hours and actual man-hours.
  • Discussions with relevant trade supervisors and revision/control of man-hours.
  • Negotiation with vendors for equipment purchases related to Repairs and Conversions, preparation of Sales Agreements/Invoices.
  • Preparation and submission of profit and loss reports for management reporting purposes.
