Job Title: Cloud Engineer / Cloud Specialist (AWS/Azure)

This position involves the development and implementation of automation processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, scale, and monitor applications in data centres and cloud environments. Troubleshooting and resolving system and application issues across platforms, participating in on-call escalations for critical incidents are key responsibilities. Additionally, setting up and managing monitoring tools to keep track of system performance is a crucial task. Implementing configuration management systems for business continuity and automating disaster recovery measures are also important aspects of this role. Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient change management and releases, as well as automating configuration management for development, QA, and production workloads, are required skills. Performing vulnerability checks, hardening systems, and resolving security issues, along with helping set up cloud environments in AWS and Azure for web applications used by clients, are other key responsibilities.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Cloud Environment Setup and Configuration
  • Experience in DevOps automation, containerisation and orchestration using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes and CICD Tools is preferred
  • Has experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Proficiency in at least three programming/scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Any experience with automated provisioning tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Vagrant is an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools such as Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, Gatekeeper or Crossplane is preferred
