Lead Data Infrastructure Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Data Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the deployment of large-scale data centre infrastructure and providing expertise in network routing and switching concepts and protocols.
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data centre infrastructure, including experience with service provider network hardware platforms and architectures.
- Strong knowledge of network routing and switching concepts and protocols, including BGP, TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Ability to analyse complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools under pressure.
- Experience with field-based work in data centres, with a focus on ensuring high availability and reliability of data centre services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data centre infrastructure and network routing and switching concepts and protocols, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix command line interface and experience with data centre management software.
- Knowledge of power distribution and cabling principles, with experience in designing and implementing data centre layouts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
