Software Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced software developer with expertise in VB.NET and Windows Forms to fill a critical role on our team.

  • Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of .NET Framework 4.x, including the ability to open, debug, and update older Visual Studio projects.
  • They will also be familiar with legacy .sln solutions and .suo project structures, as well as VB.NET code logic, form events, and back-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Debugging and troubleshooting older Visual Studio projects (.NET Framework 4.x)
  2. Working with legacy .sln solutions and understanding .suo project structures
  3. Reading and troubleshooting VB.NET code logic, form events, and back-end processes
  4. Updating application configuration files (e.g., database connection strings)
  5. Performing minor code fixes or patch deployments
  6. Assisting in resolving SQL Server-related connectivity or logic issues
  7. Ensuring our systems are stable and functioning smoothly
Requirements:
  1. Basic to intermediate VB.NET and Windows Forms experience
  2. Familiarity with Visual Studio 2015, 2017, or later
  3. Able to read and navigate .sln and .suo file structures
  4. Understanding how desktop apps connect to SQL Server
  5. Able to run, test, and debug Visual Studio projects
  6. Strong attention to detail with a troubleshooting mindset
