About the RoleThis leadership position is responsible for ensuring the well-being of the equipment section, focusing on morale, KPIs, and long-term success. The ideal candidate will set expectations for employees on understanding and compliance with MRB, TECN, 8D, specification requirements.
The selected candidate will lead regular assessments on risk management, identifying action items, and establish expectations on effective use of SPC, FMEA, and other Quality Management Systems to detect issues timely. They will also drive continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
An additional responsibility will be to project monitor systems in place to track project status and progress vs fab performance requirements. Targets, goals, and projects will be set for the section to minimize wafer scrap, defect, rework, and improve process capability to meet operational needs.
The Technical Leadership Director will forecast and budget for equipment upkeep costs and related expenditures, driving improvement activities to reduce these costs. Collaboration with Process and Manufacturing Section Managers will occur to address equipment constraint issues, OEE. Metrology sampling will be optimized to meet quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
A strong focus on vendor performance metrics will be maintained to drive quality and cost improvements, developing good working relationships with vendors. Support and adequate resources will be provided to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, participating in improving and maintaining the EHS management system.
Housekeeping practices will be emphasized on tools, equipment, and materials, with setup of a spare part inventory system to forecast usage. Employee discipline in housekeeping and maintaining the system will be encouraged.
The selected candidate will set performance expectations for employees, having regular reviews to keep track of performance. Responsibility and empowerment will be clearly defined, and joint work with employees will be done to develop their career paths.
Ensuring that employees have the required training, knowledge, and competency in performing tasks will be crucial, as well as developing performance reporting structures for employees to document projects in the Knowledge database for sharing and training future Engineers/Associate Engineers.
Requirements- Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering discipline
- 8 years of relevant working experience in Thin Film Equipment (PVD) in Semiconductor Industry
- 5 years of proven track record in a leadership role with strong leadership capabilities
- Highly driven, motivated, and resourceful individual
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
- Proficient in MS Office and good data analytical skill
$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and qualifications.
