Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine electrical systems, including wiring, cabling, and circuit modification.
  • Supervise a team of electricians in planned and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize vessel performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other vessel systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments to ensure our vessels remain at the forefront of marine electrical systems.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical repairs and maintenance, preferably in a marine environment.
  • Knowledge of vessel maintenance work processes and experience with high/low voltage equipment testing and calibration.
  • Ability to read electrical circuit drawings and perform troubleshooting and fault rectification.
  • Experience with DC/AC motors, generators, switchboards, and circuit breakers is highly desirable.
