About GFANZ APAC Network

The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) is a global coalition of leading financial institutions accelerating the decarbonization of the economy. Anchored on two key aims, the alliance has gained wide traction with 675+ members across the financial sector holding $135T of combined financial assets, representing ~40% of global financial private assets.

Established in June 2022, the GFANZ Asia Pacific (APAC) Network drives the expansion of net-zero finance in the region and accelerates the transition to a net-zero economy. The network focuses on four key priorities:

  • Engagement and Recruitment: Enhancing net-zero awareness and commitments through closing knowledge and capability gaps.
  • Research and Analysis: Disseminating and contextualizing GFANZ research in the Asia-Pacific region and incorporating regional insights into global output.
  • Public Sector Engagement: Engaging relevant regulators across the financial and real economy, launching a structured engagement platform for public sector agencies in Southeast Asia on net-zero policies and regulations.
  • Mobilize Capital into EM&DEs: Supporting platforms for piloting and scaling financial solutions for transition finance mobilization in emerging markets and developing economies.
About the Role

We are seeking an Associate to support key work streams and activities of the GFANZ Asia-Pacific Network. The scope of the candidate's geographical focus will be Asia, excluding Japan and China. Key responsibilities include event organization, research and analysis, stakeholder engagements, project and process management, and database maintenance.

The successful candidate will have up to 3 years of experience in sustainability and sustainable finance, preferably with experience in stakeholder engagements, event organization, and research and content work. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are essential. Knowledge of climate finance trends and sustainability-related expertise are highly valued.
