Senior Software Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our development team.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications that meet customer requirements.

  • Software Development: Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Python, and SQL scripting languages.
  • Coding Standards & SDLC: Follow established coding standards and frameworks to ensure efficient, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Performance Improvement: Continuously work on improving system performance, quality, and responsiveness, particularly in manufacturing-related systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with solutioning and Solution Architect (SA) teams to develop new system functionalities based on functional specifications, perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
  • Project Feasibility & Estimation: Evaluate the feasibility of project requirements, provide reasonable estimates, and update the IT project team on delivery timelines.
  • Skill Improvement: Improve coding skills and contribute to building a strong development team to support internal operations.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain the IT manifest repository, manage source code check-ins, and provide system support where needed.
  • Analysis & Solutions: Perform basic system analysis, and suggest workable solutions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Python, and SQL scripting languages.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT development, particularly with Java, Python, and PL/SQL.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a passion for software development and a willingness to learn.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of Manufacturing Information Systems is an advantage.
