Job Title: Workplace Health and Safety Professional\

The Workplace Health and Safety Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of employees and clients within an organization. This key position is responsible for driving the implementation of workplace health and safety plans and programmes to continually improve safety and health performance.

  • Key responsibilities include reporting directly to senior management, staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including the Workplace Safety & Health Act.
  • Developing and driving the implementation of workplace health and safety plans and programmes to continually improve safety and health performance.
  • Working closely with operational teams to identify and assess foreseeable risks through a robust risk assessment and management system.
  • Investigating incidents, advising corrective and preventive actions, and generating reports.
  • Developing and driving health and safety audit and inspection systems across all levels in the organization.
  • Planning and providing relevant safety training and guidance to promote health and safety awareness.
  • Acting as the liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to safety/environmental guidelines.
  • Leading health and safety committees and chairing meetings.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation on related matters.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized diploma course or bachelor's degree related to environmental and occupational health and safety.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Safety & Health as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies or other relevant stakeholders is desirable.
  • Hands-on skills and a willingness to work in dynamic settings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with IT.
