About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Healthcare Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of DRG coding for inpatient and day surgery discharges. This includes:

  • Ensuring all DRG coding is completed within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Managing queries or clarifications from clinicians regarding unsure cases, highlighting any incomplete or missing medical records required.

You will also be responsible for auditing coded cases to ensure accuracy and adherence to coding procedures and standards. Additionally, you will undertake other ad-hoc projects or duties assigned by your manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A foreign MBBS, Nursing or Healthcare degree, or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1 year's experience in coding in a hospital setting.
  • Meticulous, independent, good team player and thorough skills, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Good ICD-10-CM knowledge.
