Non-Destructive Testing Specialist

A seasoned professional in the field of non-destructive testing is sought after to perform high-quality inspections, maintain certification, and generate reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain valid NAS 410/EN 4179 or equivalent Level II certification of NDT methods as required by regulations.
  • Conduct NDT system checks, technique writing, and inspections according to customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure NDT equipment calibration before use and chemical consumable shelf-life is within validity before use.
  • Generate and issue NDT reports after inspection.
  • Manage NDT consumables inventory, including traceability of batch number and expiry date.
  • Oversee NDT documents, including NDT techniques, chemical records, NDT process system performance, NDT reports, and job records.
  • Maintain NDT facilities, general housekeeping, and manage NDT waste disposal.
  • Maintain D1 Rating certifying staff requirements if appointed.
  • Assist the NDT Level 3 in maintenance of NDT Written Practice and NDT Manual.
  • Review revisions of Customer Standards and Specifications.
  • Develop NDT techniques sheets for new components.

Requirements:

  • NITEC qualification in Engineering or Diploma In Engineering
  • Possess NDT Level 2 (NAS 410/En 4179) in ET, PT, and MT
  • At least 5 years' experience in the NDT inspection for aircraft components
  • Possess CAAS M10 or CO1 and EASA M10 paper
  • Candidates must be able to meet near vision and color perception requirements
