Job Opportunity: Geotechnical Instrumentation Specialist
">This position involves reviewing geotechnical design drawings, coordinating projects with authorities and clients, evaluating subcontractor risks, and planning instrumentation installation and monitoring works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review geotechnical design drawings for compliance with statutory standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Coordinate project submissions to local authorities and liaise during construction stages.
- Evaluate subcontractor risk assessments, safe work procedures, and method statements.
- Plan and execute geotechnical and instrumentation installation and monitoring works.
- Prepare instrumentation reports and update drawings.
- Conduct site evaluations of soil, rock, fault distribution, and geological studies to determine engineering properties.
- Liaise with instrumentation contractors for installation and monitoring issues.
- Attend daily site coordination meetings and provide detailed coordination with subcontractors.
Requirements and Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, especially in LTA Projects.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical design, instrumentation, and monitoring processes.
- Familiarity with Underground Structure/Construction Sequences and civil design works.
- Awareness of Eurocode, LTA CDC, and relevant design specifications/standards.
