Job Description

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team of construction professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing wooden structures, including roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation. Additionally, they will be tasked with adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, while also sourcing wood that meets the customer's style and budget requirements.

Another important responsibility is calculating the number of fasteners required for each job, ensuring that all installations meet the necessary building codes and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in using hand and power tools, including drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.
  • Joinery and cabinet making skills.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.
  • Able to work long hours or night shifts, if required.
