Job Title: Marine Structure Designer

We are seeking a skilled Marine Structure Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing marine structures, including ships, offshore platforms, and other marine vessels.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural analysis and design, with experience in finite element analysis (FEA) tools and software. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present complex technical information clearly.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Perform structural analysis and designs of marine structures">
  • Develop and validate structural models to simulate and predict performance under various loading conditions">
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural analysis results into overall project designs">
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders">
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements">
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis">
  • Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and operational phases of projects">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field">
  • Experience with structural analysis of offshore wind turbines, oil & gas platforms, and subsea structures and marine vessels">
  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design of marine structures">
  • Knowledge of marine construction techniques and materials">
  • Proficiency in using FEA software such as DNV Sesam, ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent">
  • Strong understanding of marine structural codes and standards (e.g., DNV GL, ABS, ISO)">
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills">
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly">
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously">
