Job Title: Renewable - Wind Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wind Energy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wind farm design, wind resource assessment, and project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake feasibility studies from prefeasibility to FEED stage for large utility scale wind farms.
  • Perform site suitability assessments, wind resource evaluations, and energy yield assessments.
  • Conduct technical due diligence of operational wind farms.
  • Develop and implement wind farm level array modeling and simulations.
  • Re-evaluate wind conditions and update existing sites for turbine upgrades and re-powering.
  • Analyze wind measurement campaigns and compare with long-term meteorological data.
  • Define site-specific turbine configurations and operational modes.
  • Process and analyze wind data.
  • Verify environmental conditions in wind farms according to IEC standards.
  • Prepare site suitability reports.
  • Design wind turbine layouts, including micro-siting and optimization.
  • Perform terrain analysis and orographic/roughness mapping.
  • Conduct site-specific load calculations.
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Support tendering processes, including quotation calls and contractor/vendor evaluation.
  • Assist in project execution and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Hons) or Master's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
  • At least 8 years of experience in wind farm design and wind resource assessment.
  • Expertise in one or more wind farm design tools, such as WAsP, Wind Pro, or Windographer.
  • Experience with ANSYS CFD simulation and BESS application with wind turbine generation.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to work with clients and stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with passion for learning and career advancement.
