Job Title: Theatre Support Specialist

The Theatre Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This individual supports medical staff by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with positioning and draping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and prepare surgical instruments and equipment before procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is properly sterilized and functioning effectively.
  • Transport patients from the Operating Theatre to Recovery Bay or vice versa.
  • Assist during operations with positioning and draping patients.
  • Dispose of general and biohazard waste properly.
  • Maintain and check OT equipment regularly.
  • Restock supplies and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Clean and prepare the Operating Theatre for the next procedure.
Requirements:
  • A certificate or diploma in Operating Theatre Practice or a related healthcare field.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in a surgical setting.
  • Familiarity with surgical instruments, endoscopy systems, and sterilization techniques.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
