Job Description

As a Production Quality Assurance Specialist at TSG FOOD PTE. LTD., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality control and food safety across our production processes. This exciting opportunity requires a highly motivated and experienced professional who can take charge of online quality checking, finished product testing, and monthly verification of CCPs.

Responsibilities:
  • Critical Control Points (CCPs): Conduct monthly verification of CCPs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Online Quality Checking: Perform rigorous online quality checks using metal detectors, cookers, pasteurizers, and steamers to identify any defects or irregularities.
  • Finished Product Testing: Conduct thorough testing of finished products to guarantee their safety and quality for consumption.
  • Microbial Analysis: Verify sampling results for microbial analysis to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity.
  • Weighing Scales Calibration: Ensure accurate weighing through internal calibration of weighing scales to minimize errors.
  • Goods Return Verification: Verify goods returned by customers to rectify issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Complaint Handling: Address customer complaints promptly and effectively to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
  • Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to other teams by conducting routine physical, chemical, sensory, and other analyses as required.
  • Rework Decisions: Make informed decisions regarding rework of materials based on historical trends and consultation with seniors.
  • Quality Deviation Investigations: Investigate quality deviations of raw materials and finished goods, proposing corrective and preventive actions for closure.
  • Customer Complaint Investigations: Lead investigations into customer complaints in collaboration with relevant team members.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science is preferred but not mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience will be considered for senior positions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and passion for continuous improvement are essential.
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including HACCP, BRC, and ISO 22000.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Able to work well in a team and independently, with excellent IT skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Familiarity with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 5 days a week + 1 Saturday, with specific shifts depending on operational requirements.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Educational qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Food Science (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience (senior positions considered).
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving, passion for continuous improvement, Quality Management Systems knowledge, strong communication and analytical skills, teamwork and independent work capabilities, excellent IT skills.
  • Work hours: Flexible shifts, including 5 days a week + 1 Saturday.

Compensation: Salary package commensurate with experience.
