Job Title: Senior Inshore Diving Operations Supervisor

About the Role:

As a seasoned commercial diving operations supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of inshore diving operations. This includes supervising and coordinating diving activities, ensuring compliance with SS511 and MOM regulations, and maintaining accurate records of dive logs and equipment inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of diving operations onsite.
  • Ensure all diving activities comply with SS511 and MOM regulations.
  • Supervise all inshore underwater operations, including inspections, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, maintenance, and repairs of vessels within Singapore waters.
  • Operate and maintain diving equipment, including diving hats, equipment, and tools.
  • Oversee pre-dive checks and ensure proper functioning of diving equipment in accordance with SS511:2018 standards.
  • Liaise directly with management on all job communications.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain effective communication with the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of dive logs, equipment inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Act as primary point of contact for client representatives during projects.
  • Monitor and assess underwater conditions, identify potential hazards prior to dive operation commencement.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures in compliance with SS 511 to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years supervisor experience in inshore commercial diving operations.
  • Possesses valid and approved diving certification recognized by IMCA and SS 511 standards.
  • Possesses in-date and approved diving medical certification issued by a registered diving medical practitioner.
  • Possesses in-date occupational first aid and diving first aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of diving systems, decompression procedures, and underwater tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic and high-stress environments.
  • Proficient in use of hydraulic brush kart and polishing system.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Be able to call a stop-work order in the event of unsafe working conditions.
  • Have a good sense of punctuality and responsibility.
