Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Management Specialist to join our team at AC CITY PTE. LTD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, including supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders.

This role requires strong analytical and logical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
  • Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
  • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
  • Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Gathering data, compiling reports, and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
  • Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.

Additionally, this role involves:

  • Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site.
  • Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with specifications.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
  • Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
  • Managing, monitoring, and interpreting contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
  • Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Liaising with local authorities (where appropriate) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Carrying out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
