Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our team at ST ENGINEERING LAND MRO & SERVICES PTE. LTD. as a Rail Maintenance and Repair Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising tasks allocated to the section in supporting Rail Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) commercial products, company proprietary and non-proprietary products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Task Management: Manage and supervise tasks allocated to the section in supporting Rail Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) commercial products, company proprietary and non-proprietary products.
  • Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret circuitry diagrams, block diagrams and PCBs for any re-engineering work required.
  • Failure Investigations: Conduct and lead failure investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, researches, studies and make necessary recommendations.
  • Document Generation: Generate documents and engineering process plans to ensure operation requirements and safety standards are maintained.
  • Customer Engagement: Participate in customer meetings to gain insights to their needs and expectations. Follow-up discussion with various internal stakeholders and translating these requirements into deliverables where feasible.
  • Product Development: Work with the engineering department on product design, tester design, maintenance service and implement hardware and software components to integrate into in-service systems.
  • Reliability and Maintainability: Understand the concept of Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) tools such as FMECA so to achieve improvement in MRO effectiveness, reduced manpower requirements and minimized life cycle cost.
  • Technology Search: Conduct technology search for Rail MRO applications and introduce technology enablers to improve performance and quality of the repaired systems or components.
  • On-Site Support: Support on-site testing and troubleshooting during normal and after office hours.
  • Work-in-Progress Tracking: Actively involved in WIP (Work-In-Progress) tracking, inventory stock-take, incoming and outgoing of products etc.
  • Training and Development: Responsible for the training of technicians; planning, assigning, and directing work to a group of technicians; appraising, addressing complaints and resolving conflicts.
  • Operational Support: Assist Ops Lead in daily operation.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related / ad-hoc duties as assigned by Ops Lead.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience.
  • Technical Skills: Able to read and understand electrical & electronics drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Assist in providing technology solutions to overcome complex MRO systems so to allow work focuses upon the effective integration of people, processes, tools and technology in order to improve the MRO into the next level.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge in Rail MRO will be an added advantage.
  • Driving License: Possess Class 3 manual driving license.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal & communication skills, with strong ability to work within a team.
  • Work Environment: Can work under pressure within stringent deadlines, independent and self-motivated.
  • Presentation Skills: Able to present ideas, approach and objectives clearly.
  • Customer Engagement: Able to engage and manage customers' requirements.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess leadership skills and motivate staffs reporting to candidate.
  • Work Environment: Must be willing to work in Railway, MRO environment.
