We're seeking a skilled Biotechnologist to join our globally recognized network, where you'll contribute to the production of mammalian cell culture and treatments. As part of our high-performance Integrated Biologics team, you'll gain unparalleled exposure to cutting-edge biotechnology and innovation.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic cell products under cGMP conditions. You'll work closely with a team of technical, SME, and supervisor/manager colleagues to execute CGMP Cell Therapy production activities from start to finish.

About the Role

This position offers an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in Cell Therapy production looking to develop their career in a different technical/scientific area. You'll receive thorough training and ongoing assessment to ensure your success.

The successful candidate will be expected to join a day, weekend, and public holiday rotation shift (12 hours). This requires a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with site/department EHS standards (policies, rules, and regulations).
  • Attain a thorough understanding of the principles of CGMP compliance and clean room practices.
  • Contribute to maintaining 'in-operation' production facilities and equipment.
  • Solution and medium preparation followed by aseptic filtration into sterile containers.
  • Revival and culturing of anchorage-dependent cell lines in static flasks and cell factories.
  • Harvest and concentration of cell factory-generated cell cultures using tangential flow filtration or centrifugation.
  • Final formulation and filling of vials. Visual inspection and cryopreservation.
  • Participation in aseptic process simulations.
  • Accurate and thorough completion of batch record documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Degree/Diploma/NITEC in a related Science/Engineering discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP applications.
  • Knowledge of cell culture and the principles of aseptic processing within a classified environment.
  • Excellent team-oriented work ethic and attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform rotating 12-hour shift patterns.
