Job Description

HSBC Private Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Desk Head, Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Private Banking Relationship Managers within the Singapore Market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Private Banking Relationship Managers to drive business growth and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Interface with clients and coordinate marketing and product activities to deepen client relationships.
  • Implement and deliver the Supervisory Framework to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Direct the Relationship Manager teams to cultivate and develop new and existing client relationships.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and increase referrals to other GPB booking centers and Lines of Business.
  • Maintain the highest standard of excellence in client service across the team and individual portfolios.
  • Collaborate with other functions, products, and services to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Requirements:

  • Possesses business vision and strategic thinking to drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills to attract and retain top talent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior management and other business groups.
  • Ability to make business decisions and provide clear direction within established frameworks.
  • Experience in private banking business and knowledge of related risk management requirements.
  • Experience in sales management and profit centre management.
  • Well-organized with excellent prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
