Principal Software Engineer for Semiconductor Control Systems

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement high-quality equipment control software for semiconductor equipment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in software engineering principles, algorithms, and programming languages, as well as experience with FPGA, VHDL, and/or PLC programming. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product architecture and ensure seamless integration of software components.
- Analyze customer needs through thorough requirements gathering and documentation.
- Design, develop, and test equipment control software using Agile practices and emphasizing speed and quality.
- Lead the development team by providing technical guidance, conducting peer reviews, and ensuring team performance.
The job scope covers the full stack of semiconductor equipment control software development, including hardware abstraction layer implementation, machine learning pipeline integration, and user interface development.
You will be responsible for developing testable, high-quality software covering the entire software engineering lifecycle, from sprint planning to design review and code refactoring.
In particular, you will focus on implementing the equipment's hardware abstraction layer to enable a programmable interface for components like wafer aligners and robots.
