CNC Machinist Job Description

The role of a CNC machinist is to operate computer-controlled machine tools and equipment, such as lathes and grinders, to make precision parts and instruments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out production duties, including packaging and machine operation
  2. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of machines, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
  3. Feed raw material or parts to machines, using measuring tools to ensure accurate placement
  4. Inspect parts with precision, identifying any defects or irregularities
  5. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products, providing data for quality control and improvement
  6. Maintain activity logs, tracking progress and achievements
  7. Maintain and clean machines periodically, performing routine maintenance tasks
  8. FOLLOW established safety rules and regulations, adhering to company policies and industry standards
  9. Perform other assignments as assigned by Head of Department
