Event Planner Professional

The role of the Event Coordinator involves overseeing the planning and execution of various events such as weddings, catering services, and group sales within a hotel setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior event planners to develop and manage departmental forecasts while ensuring effective cost control measures are in place.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the event planning process, exceeding their expectations and fostering repeat business opportunities.
  • Conduct site inspections and sales activities as required to promote the hotel's services.
  • Work closely with senior event planners to prepare monthly forecasts and assist in the development of the annual business plan for the department.
  • Meet or exceed the revenue targets set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.

Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in sales, preferably in a similar capacity within a five-star establishment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A positive attitude towards challenges and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
