Job Title: Locum Pharmacist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced locum pharmacist to join our healthcare team. As a locum pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of patient medication charts and prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. ">
  2. Fulfill all drug orders accurately and in a timely manner.">
  3. Ensure that all related costs and revenue are accounted for, and accurately recovered.">
  4. Dispense medications to patients, explaining the indications for drug therapy and instructions for administration.">
  5. Provide drug information and lectures to other healthcare professionals.">
  6. Delegate, oversee and review the work of assigned subordinates.">
  7. Ensure that all sales and supply of medicinal products comply with legal requirements.">
  8. Maintain accurate records pertaining to all phases of drug receipt, supply, storage and distribution as required by hospital and/or legal authorities.">
  9. Represent the department in various clinical committees and perform other job-related duties as assigned.">
  10. Review pharmacy procedures and policies periodically and implement schemes to improve pharmacy workflow.">
  11. Supervise performance, conduct appraisals, write reports and make recommendations for confirmation, promotion and training needs of subordinates.">
  12. Actively participate in Pharmacy education and development programmes.">
  13. Practice continued reading of journals, publications, etc for professional advancement.">
  14. Responsible for the implementation and adherence to policies, practices and regulations established by the department, hospital and external regulatory agencies pertaining to pharmacy.">
  15. Provide relevant training to pre-registration pharmacists and trainees.">

Requirements:

  • PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.">
  • Current registration with the relevant licensing authority.">

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.">
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations and best practices.">

Other Information:

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
