Pharmacist Job Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing of medication.

  • The primary function of this role is to review written order forms, determine drug needs, and ensure accuracy.
  • The pharmacist will be required to fulfill prescriptions as ordered by physicians, documenting supplies used and labeling containers.
  • This position involves supervising compounding and/or dispensing of medication, including unit dose, intravenous admixtures, and outpatient prescriptions.
  • An essential aspect of this role is explaining directions for prescription use to patients and monitoring response to drug therapy.
  • The pharmacist will make recommendations about appropriate drug therapy to doctors and report adverse drug reactions.
  • This role also involves providing information to other health professionals and ensuring timely delivery of medications to patients.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
  • Registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council is mandatory.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
  • Possession of basic supervisory and management skills is necessary.
