Job Summary



We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of test procedures on sample equipment to applicable standards, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities




  • Assume total responsibility for the completion of assigned projects within negotiated time and cost schedules.
  • Conduct tests and calculations, compile data, and summarize test results into reports and checklists.
  • Assemble and disassemble test samples, hook up laboratory test equipment, and operate most laboratory test equipment without supervision.
  • Record technical data, draft reports, and write product descriptions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of tools, equipment, and work area following tests and carry out assigned laboratory clean-up duties.
  • Responsible for follow-up on non-conformances as a result of calibration, with guidance from supervisor.
  • Interact with jobholders/certifiers to plan activities, exchange information, review, and approve lab reports and certification records.
  • Provide detailed interpretation of test results and construction evaluation to clients.
  • May make field trips and assist in work outside the laboratories as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Process paperwork jobs from opening to distribution where no engineering is involved.


Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge in all national/international standards through research of standards, documentation, bulletins, and technical articles in the area of specialty.
  • Practical knowledge of working with test and measurement instruments and equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Standards and testing procedures.
  • Ability to manage difficult or unusual projects simultaneously and meet promised delivery dates.
  • Must be self-motivated and client-service oriented.
  • Demonstrated systematic problem-solving ability.
  • Technical report writing skills.


What We Offer



CSA Group offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Estimated Salary: $95,500
