Job Summary
The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling telephone enquiries, accepting reservations and inputting them in the computer system. This role requires a professional and friendly business manner in all guest and client liaison.
About the Role
- This position reports directly to the Assistant Reservations Manager.
- The ideal candidate will work closely with Front Office and Sales & Marketing colleagues, providing lead advice and feedback concerning enquiries and firm reservations.
- Assists in maximizing hotel occupancy potential while protecting the hotel's business mix.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of reservation details and communicate effectively with guests and internal teams.
- Respond promptly to telephone enquiries and resolve guest complaints in a professional manner.
- Provide exceptional levels of guest services by anticipating and meeting their needs.
Requirements
- A secondary education qualification.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
