Strategic Business Development Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Head to join our team at Portek International Private Limited.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' working experience in the port/maritime industry, with at least 4 years in Business Development or commercial roles and 3 years in management positions. A degree in Engineering, Management, or Accounting is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Chief Officer in developing strategies and setting directions for increasing project pipelines and expanding the Engineering and Port Operations business.
  • To create and execute an annual Roadmap action plan to implement approved Business Development strategies and direction.
  • Resource allocation and management to drive projects or assigned regions/countries based on priority and strategy.
  • To oversee the achievement of Business Development activities towards milestones or conclusion for assigned projects or regions/countries.
  • Sound execution of engineering projects in commercial, legal, financial aspects, and customer relationship during and post-project execution.
  • To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of supporting functions in the Department.
  • Management reporting and administrative duties for the Division.
  • Training and development of Division members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' working experience in a port/maritime industry.
  • Minimum 4 years' working experience in Business Development or commercial role.
  • Minimum 3 years' working experience in management position.
  • At least a degree in Engineering / Management / Accountings.
  • Meticulous and detailed.
  • Proactive and independent.
  • Self-Motivated with strong desire to achieve.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Mastery in other languages is an advantage.
