About the Position

We are seeking a talented Research Fellow to join our Nano-Bio Interface Lab led by Asst. Prof. ZHAO Wenting. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on nanoscale deformation of cellular components and its mimics derived from nanofabricated chips and high-resolution imaging. The project aims to elucidate mechanisms of biophysical guidance of biomolecular assembly and interaction for disease interpretation and related therapeutic development.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for developing, running and implementing scientific projects on nanoscale membrane biophysics in cells. They will also write scientific publications and grants, review and summarize current literatures, collaborate with other research groups, team members and supervise junior members, coordinate general operation of laboratory, train new laboratory personnel and comply with laboratory safety standards and guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Ph.D in biophysics, mechanobiology, biomedical engineering or related disciplines.
  • Recent Ph.D graduates within 3 years experience.
  • Experience in surface patterning, topography engineering, membrane mechanics, biomolecular assembly and related techniques, mechanical modeling and simulation is highly preferred.
  • Experience in advanced microscopy, super-resolution cell imaging, machine learning-based image analysis is highly preferred.
  • More than 2 co-authored papers in reputable journals is preferred.
