The Nurse Manager is accountable for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care that adheres to established policies and procedures, as well as nursing standards and practices. The successful candidate will lead a team of nurses and support staff to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of registered nurses, enrolled nurses, nurse aides, and healthcare assistants to ensure delivery of quality care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care that meet regulatory requirements and promote resident-centered care.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Direct and facilitate ongoing staff development, skills upgrading, and competency assessment through various training programs and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or specialist diploma in gerontology or advanced diploma in any discipline (preferred).
- Valid registration with the relevant professional body.
- At least 5 years' relevant working experience as a Nurse Manager.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
