Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a diligent Financial Clerk to assist with the financial operations of our organization. This role will support the Accounting Manager in daily tasks, including invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and record keeping. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, with experience in the maritime industries being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Accounting Manager in processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments to vendors, shipowners, port agents, and service providers.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in monitoring and following up on outstanding payables and receivables.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Record cash book entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.
  • Support in bank reconciliations and monthly account closings.
  • Organize and save financial documents such as invoices, credit notes, tax records, and payment proofs in the accounting system.
  • Cooperate with auditors during audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1 year of accounting experience preferred, no experience (but with relevant accounting education background) candidates are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
  • Basic understanding of shipping and trade terms is an advantage.
