We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate/Assistant Professor of Microbiology to join our team at Nanyang Technological University. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of research and teaching at the School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake high-quality research in microbiology, focusing on microbiome or microbial bioinformatics, and obtain research funding to support your work.
  • Teach and educate medical students and postgraduate research students, utilizing team-based learning and e-learning methods.
  • Contribute to the integration of microbiology into the MBBS curriculum and ensure excellence in these areas.
Primary Activities:
  • Develop and manage a personal research plan, securing funding and publishing in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Seek competitive grants and collaborative industry funding to sustain a research program.
  • Contribute to teaching and educational activities at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervising students as needed.
  • Develop and support research projects with faculty members and across the NTU community, focusing on microbiome medicine.
Person Specification:
  • MBBS/MD and/or PhD degree(s)
  • Relevant postdoctoral or clinical experience
  • Significant experience in translational clinical research and teaching, with a high level of scientific achievement in microbiology or microbiome medicine

This is a full-time appointment, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to achieve our research and teaching goals.
