Job Title: Funeral Assistant cum Driver

We are seeking a reliable and respectful team member to assist with funeral services. This role requires professionalism, physical stamina, and a compassionate approach during sensitive times.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Transporting the deceased with care and dignity to and from funeral homes, service locations, and cemeteries
  • Assisting in setting up and breaking down equipment for funeral services (e.g., tents, chairs, podiums)
  • Handling caskets, urns, and floral arrangements during services and viewings
  • Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of funeral vehicles and equipment
  • Providing respectful support to families and guests during services
  • Following safety procedures and complying with all legal and ethical guidelines
  • Working closely with funeral directors and other staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deceased Transportation: Transport the deceased with care and dignity to and from funeral homes, service locations, and cemeteries
  • Equipment Setup: Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for funeral services (e.g., tents, chairs, podiums)
  • Casket Handling: Handle caskets, urns, and floral arrangements during services and viewings
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and readiness of funeral vehicles and equipment
  • Family Support: Provide respectful support to families and guests during services
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and comply with all legal and ethical guidelines
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with funeral directors and other staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

The requirements for this position include:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels and above
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully
