We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our animal clinic, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
- Job Summary:
- Manage the front desk and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist veterinarians with daily tasks, such as consultations and surgery, providing vital support for diagnosis and treatment.
- Monitor anesthesia levels during surgery and adhere to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Contribute to hospital treatments, run lab tests, and maintain accurate records of patient data.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to complete diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Perform administrative duties, including managing stock and maintaining inventory records.
- Ensure the clinic remains clean and hygienic by adhering to strict health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support veterinary staff with clinical tasks and procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary Bioscience, or similar).
- Possess at least 1 year of experience working with animals, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Be caring, dependable, and comfortable working with animals in various situations.
- Be willing to take on supervisory roles in the future, as career advancement opportunities are available.
- Be able to work weekends on a rotating 4-day work week schedule.
