Network Equipment Deployment Specialist
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deploying network equipment to ensure seamless connectivity and efficiency. Your technical expertise will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional results and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-configuration and staging of network equipment including ONT, routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless APs. Conduct onsite deployments and implementations, ensuring compliance with established standards and protocols. Collaborate with customers to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve any issues that may arise during deployment. Provide technical support and guidance to project management teams to facilitate problem resolution. Prepare comprehensive documentation, including UAT reports, site acquisition reports, and site survey reports with network diagrams. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and meets regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology or certified with CCNA/CCNP. Certification in Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Fortinet is an added advantage. A minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in deploying WAN/LAN/WLAN network equipment is required. Solid experience in supporting onsite deployments after office hours is necessary. Good knowledge of networking principles, routing, and switching is essential. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are mandatory. Experience in performing site surveys and network design is a plus. Familiarity with fibre, cross-connect, or data centre connectivity is also desirable. Effective communication and collaboration abilities are critical for success in this role. The ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified in Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Fortinet. Experience with WAN/LAN/WLAN network equipment deployment. Familiarity with fibre, cross-connect, or data centre connectivity. Experience in site survey and network design.
