Tower Crane Operator

The primary function of this role is to ensure the safe operation of Tower Cranes in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with signal teams to guarantee adherence to safety protocols during daily lifting operations.
  • Evaluate ground conditions from height and report any safety concerns to the lifting supervisor.
  • Conduct pre-work inspections on cranes as per manufacturer guidelines to guarantee safe operation and notify maintenance personnel of any malfunctions.
  • In case of safety deviations, stop work or inform the designated WSHE department.
  • Operate the crane safely under clear signals from signalmen.
  • Maintain adherence to workplace safety practices.
Requirements:
  • A certificate in Tower Crane Operation (Saddle JIB)
  • A minimum of three years' experience in TCO roles
  • A Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course completion
  • Registration as a Tower Crane Operator (MOM licensed)
  • Physical strength and reflexes necessary for climbing up to 80 metres
  • The ability to work independently in confined spaces and at heights
  • PPVC Lifting Course for Crane Operators (Saddle-jib Tower Crane) preferred
