Job Title: Structural Steel Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:
  • Our ideal candidate will undertake detailed technical and structural designs, prepare calculation reports, and shop drawings. They will instruct drafters, check, and amend fabrication drawings.
  • They will review and improve design considerations and assumptions based on project requirements, focusing on competitive and economical approaches.
  • The successful candidate will liaise and coordinate with operation teams, clients, consultants, and authorities on technical issues to ensure design intents are met.
  • They will provide technical engineering advice to comply with Singapore design standards, codes, specifications, and authorities' regulations.
  • Our ideal candidate will propose value engineering, design improvement, optimization, and innovation to improve operation efficiency and maximize construction profit.
  • They will follow up closely with projects in charge, visit factories and sites to provide technical advice and support to operation teams.
  • Other ad-hoc jobs assigned by the Technical Manager or the company may be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
  • Preferably have 3-8 years' experience in steel structure design/earth retaining stabilizing structures design or equivalent.
  • Be conversant with Excel, Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Staad.pro, etc., as work requires.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and good time management skills are essential for success in this position.
