Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global medical underwriting framework to ensure consistent governance.
  • Represent the organization as a global medical underwriting expert for all product development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of our underwriting philosophy and underwriting manual.
  • Develop and deliver internal and external training programs to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with a global team of underwriting experts to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in multiple global Critical Illness markets, life insurance/reinsurance within medical underwriting, claims, and product development.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Life, Disability, and Critical Illness medical underwriting and claims.
  • Professional knowledge of treaty wordings, standard terms and conditions, product exclusions, and claims triggers.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong focus on all aspects of medical underwriting and claims governance, including audit expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
