Our Smart Buildings consultants have practical knowledge of delivering solutions that integrate sensors, networks, and software applications.

We are seeing growth in the Smart Buildings space and are recruiting a Senior ELV Systems Engineer to join our Digital and Building Technology team in Singapore. This permanent role will be based in our Singapore office.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of ICT and Smart Buildings projects, developing ICT and Smart Buildings solutions, and working with vendors to deliver solutions for new construction and upgrade projects. You will also provide site monitoring services during installation and commissioning phases, provide ICT and Smart Buildings technology advice to clients, and lead or support bid responses for ICT and Smart Building opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of ICT and Smart Buildings projects, either as discrete packages or part of a wider suite of consulting services.
  • Develop ICT and Smart Buildings solutions and design deliverables, including concept and detail design documentation, tender specifications, and contribute to tender evaluation and contract award.
  • Work with ICT and Smart Building system vendors to deliver solutions for new construction and upgrade projects.
  • Provide site monitoring services during the installation and commissioning phases of projects involving ICT and Smart Building solutions.
  • Provide ICT and Smart Buildings technology advice to clients (internal and external).
  • Lead or support bid responses for ICT and Smart Building opportunities.
  • Support Lead Consultant/Job Manager in the execution of project workstreams, capture and analyze user, business, and operational requirements, and document end-to-end business process flow, identifying gaps and addressing potential risk.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, schematics, design documents, specifications, and proposals.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and training activities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technology or engineering specialization (electronics engineering, ICT).
  • 5-10 years' experience delivering ICT and Smart Buildings projects or consulting services.
  • Solid understanding of the practical application of digital technologies in the built environment, including Smart systems, IoT, building system technologies, structured cabling systems, wireless and wired networks, security and access control, AV technologies, systems integration.
  • Solid understanding of industry trends and client requirements associated with ICT and Smart Building systems and technologies.
  • Solid understanding of the benefits, risks, and typical costs of Smart Building solutions.
  • Ability to conduct market research to identify Smart Building trends and typical vendor solutions.
  • Experience working with design teams, including architects, project managers, and MEP consultants.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong requirements elicitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and provide high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, able to present and facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Ability to translate user requirements and analysis into technical requirements to meet objectives.
  • Strong people skills in active listening and building trusting relationships.
  • Highly collaborative and self-starter, proactive in keeping key stakeholders up to date with progress with little managerial supervision required.
