Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Level 1 Technician with specialized expertise in CCTV and Card Access Control to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, ensuring optimal functionality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and test CCTV and Card Access Control systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues related to CCTV cameras, recorders, and access control devices promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on installations to guarantee compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their security needs and provide technical support.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, fellow technicians, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and meet project deadlines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay informed about industry trends and technology advancements in CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Service Level Support: Be ready to take on maintenance tasks when assigned/rostered as part of a 24/7 standby team.

Requirements

  • Education: Higher NITEC/Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of [3 years] of hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of CCTV and Card Access Control systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the installation and configuration of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and Access Control devices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to [15kg] and work in various physical environments.
