Senior Java Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned software professional to lead our team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of high-quality Java applications. As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for managing the software development lifecycle, from planning and prioritization to testing and release.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Maintain High-Performance Java Applications: Utilize your expertise in Java and related technologies to create scalable and efficient solutions that meet the needs of our users.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write Clean, Maintainable Code: Follow best practices and industry standards to ensure that your code is easy to read, maintain, and extend.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Collaborate with your peers to review and improve code quality, ensuring that our solutions remain current and competitive.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug Complex Issues: Use your analytical skills to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Share your knowledge and experience with junior developers, helping them grow and develop their skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
  • Proven Experience as a Senior Java Developer: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Experience with Java EE and Microservices Architecture: Strong proficiency in designing, building, and testing Java EE applications, as well as experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Containerization Technologies: Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
