As a strategic solutions expert, you will be responsible for helping clients make informed decisions about investments in technology solutions. This role requires close collaboration with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that drive growth and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain active involvement throughout the sales process, from qualification to closure, ensuring seamless execution of client projects.
- Work closely with sales representatives and prospects to assess their business needs and ensure alignment with our current and future product capabilities.
- Provide technical assistance in developing complex solutions and proposals.
- Support the creation of proofs of concept, workshops, and seminars as needed.
- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the evaluation and implementation of technology solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, articulating how our portfolio and solution architecture meet customer business and organizational requirements.
- Conduct research and draft responses to technical requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Develop a deep understanding of customer business and IT landscapes, collaborating with Sales teams to identify opportunities for SUSE solutions.
- Participate in meetings and conferences with customers and partners to serve as a liaison between SUSE internal organizations.
- Support the Sales and Partner team by suggesting intricate offerings and solutions aimed at achieving sales targets.
- Collaborate with regional divisions to craft comprehensive go-to-market strategies, outlining account approaches and driving strategic opportunities.
- Assist the Marketing team through both on-field and online initiatives.
- Engage with Strategic Business Solutions and Product Marketing to participate in early-stage marketing materials and related business demonstration scenarios.
- Maintain alignment with Marketing and Product Management on existing and future SUSE suite capabilities, driving product innovation.
- Stay up to date with new SUSE solutions across business lines.
- Understand the functionality and interoperability of SUSE components.
- Share knowledge gained and guide fellow Solution Architects, enabling team members to benefit from your expertise and experiences.
- Prior presales experience: ability to translate technical knowledge into proposals, presentations, demos, and customer workshops.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and present key business and technical value for solutions architecture.
- Strong coordination and influence skills for associates and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with UNIX or Linux systems, provisioning, patch management solutions, and configuration management technologies.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions.
- Experience with key DevOps technologies, including Linux containers, container management, Kubernetes, security, and CI/CD tools.
- Ability to build complex solution proposals and architectures, and knowledge of mission-critical applications like SAP.
- Willingness to Travel.
- Highly independent and self-motivated individual capable of efficiently working with minimal supervision, managing multiple customers simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and communication skills, able to convey messages effectively to technical and business recipients.
- Demonstrated teamwork and resource utilization skills, providing assistance when necessary.
- Comprehensive understanding of business consequences and effects related to strategic software products, optimized for sales scenarios.
- Able to interpret customers' business challenges and technical concerns, illustrating how a solution meets their demands or prerequisites.
