Job DescriptionWe are searching for an ambitious and highly motivated Kitchen Assistant to contribute to the success of our busy kitchen.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, and dicing.
- Portion food accordingly and store it in assigned containers and areas to maintain freshness.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Assist with inventory management and restock supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
- Demonstrate initiative by actively seeking out additional tasks and taking on new challenges.
- Contribute ideas and support fellow team members.
- Take direction from senior kitchen staff.
- Perform other duties as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a passion for culinary arts.
You should also be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, you will need to be physically fit and able to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
An understanding of health and safety procedures is also essential.
