Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates and preparing project budgets for construction assignments.

They will track and manage expenditure to ensure project costs remain within approved limits throughout the construction lifecycle, negotiate terms and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors, deliver accurate and timely financial updates and reports to project leaders and stakeholders, identify cost-saving measures and strategies to enhance project profitability, work closely with project teams to address and resolve financial or contractual challenges, and ensure all activities align with current industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates and prepare project budgets for construction assignments.
  • Track and manage expenditure to ensure project costs remain within approved limits throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Negotiate terms and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial updates and reports to project leaders and stakeholders.
  • Identify cost-saving measures and strategies to enhance project profitability.
  • Work closely with project teams to address and resolve financial or contractual challenges.
  • Ensure all activities align with current industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline, experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector, knowledge of contract management, cost estimation, and project execution practices, good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
