Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud and On-Premises Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data and Artificial Intelligence Platforms team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and deploying the infrastructure behind our products.

This role involves a mix of on-premises and cloud infrastructure. You will work on both small and large scale projects, managing the development, deployment, orchestration and maintenance of application services for our products.

Key responsibilities include providing DevOps architecture implementation and operational support, as well as architecture and planning for on-premises and cloud deployments (Private and Public cloud).

You will also develop and manage processes, automation, best practices, documentation, and development and operation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

  • Excellent problem solving and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with on-premise deployments, government applications and networking infrastructure/routing
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure services (e.g., Elasticsearch, OpenShift, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of air-gapped on-premise deployments is a plus
  • Cloud deployment and management experience in AWS, Azure and some GCP knowledge
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of virtualization and networking concepts
  • Experience with patch maintenance, regression testing and security incident response
  • Experience with interactive workloads, machine learning toolkits and their integration with cloud computing (e.g., JupyterHub)
  • Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
  • Breadth of knowledge across OS, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing, authentication, security, monitoring services and capacity planning
