We are a leading international engineering consultancy with expertise in waste management and treatment projects. Our team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Utilities Plant Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our Tuas site in Singapore.
Job OverviewThis contract-based role will support our client's project, commencing in 2025, on a 5.5-day working schedule. A company shuttle bus will be provided for commuting purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities- The successful candidate will assist the T&C Manager in overseeing all testing and commissioning activities of Contractors, including coordinating related tasks that interface with the project.
- You will help lead the OE's testing and commissioning team, collaborating with the Resident Site Supervision (RSS) Team, OE's design team, and Contractors to review and execute Contractors' testing and commissioning plans, ensuring timely achievement of project milestones for each EPC Contract.
- The role involves supporting the T&C Manager in overseeing all aspects of Contractors' testing and commissioning activities, including managing interfaces between EPC Package 1 and EPC Package 2. This oversight encompasses the entire process from dry/cold commissioning to hot commissioning, culminating in successfully completing the commissioning process and trial run, including optimization of plant operations with the Contractors and Operations & Maintenance teams.
- You will participate in regular T&C Coordination Meetings with the Contractor and/or other Contractors on adjacent sites, which may also include Client representatives.
- The successful candidate will handle any additional tasks delegated by the T&C Manager as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must have at least 5 years of hands-on relevant experience in testing and commissioning (and operation) of large-scale solid waste management projects (Waste to Energy - WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment), or experience with large-scale industrial/process/utilities projects (i.e. waste, water, oil & gas, power) testing and commissioning.
A relevant engineering degree or certification is essential for this role. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Salary Estimate:$140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
